Society Offers Genealogy Workshops March 7 & May 2, 2015

Interested in family history, but don’t know where to start? Or do you simply want to sharpen your skills? The Historical Society of Cecil County is holding two genealogy workshops on March 7 and May 2.

The first workshop is designed for beginners. Learn how to begin your family research using family, government, and electronic resources. Learn about the unique resources of the Historical Society of Cecil County. Bring your laptop or tablet and your family information.

The second workshop is designed for those with intermediate and advanced skills. Learn how to use the unique resources of the historical society in your research. Also learn about DNA, visiting cemeteries, archives, and other places while researching. Our own land records expert, Darlene McCall, will show you how land records can be used in family history research. Bring your laptop or tablet and your family information.

Each workshop is FREE for historical society members and just $5.00 for non-members.
