Fold3 has added British Army WWI Service Records from the National Archives of the UK to their service.

Are you researching family members in the UK? Is it possible that one of them served in the British Army during WWI? If so, you should be interested in this new collection on Fold3.

This collection includes the surviving service records (roughly 60% of these records were destroyed during a 1940 bombing) for non-commissioned officers and soldiers of other ranks who served in WWI and did not re-enlist in the Army prior to World War II. The soldiers in the collection may have enlisted as early as 1892, are typically those who were discharged between 1914 and 1920, those who were killed in action or died of wounds or disease during that time, or those who were demobilized at the war’s end.
